Saturday 9 June 2012: Headcam man

I'm still not entirely sure about this whole helmet cam thing.

There's no doubt it would have been a great help if I'd been able to record some of the stuff that's happened to me in the past, and I can't think of any other sensible way to expose the stupid and dangerous things other road users* do. But I also can't help thinking videoing every ride is a bit OTT.

However, if I am to carry on with my digital documentation, I think it might help my case if I tempered the involuntary hand gestures**, head shaking and general profanities.

* Did you notice I didn't say 'drivers' there? I got a cracking bit of footage today of a male idiot on a bike forcing his less-than-confident following female co-rider to go right through a red light.

** The person pictured decided to beep furiously as they passed me. I'm still not sure if they were angry or thought they were being helpful, but either way they need to go back to driving school.
