By brother blew the head gasket on his works vehicle and it was stated as being 'beyond economic repair'!

Rather than just giving it away we towed it to a breakers yard where we sold it for the princely sum of 106 pounds!

Doesn't seem a fair end for this piece of technology, I wonder want Henry Ford would make of it?
