Friday 8 June 2012: Dil and Mil

Later Thursday night goose and gander (ex-blippers) arrived at our place and were there when I returned from the kid's concert at the school . They were here on a short visit to see us and friends. It is celebration time as Goose has accepted a position at a college in Portland. We are all VERY excited for her, them and having them in Portland. They will be with Goose's family there and so much closer to us. Also Portland, as a city, is a great "fit' for them. An exciting, humane and liberal city with lots for young people to do.

Friday we spent a lot of the day together before they went to visit other friends. We all went to the Y, then had a delicious vegan buffet, then took a walk out to see the baby Heron's progress with the hooligan running alongside. Here guest blipper Gander catches myself and my dear wonderful D I L---congratulations to her on her new MSW (masters in social work) degree and to them both as they begin a new phase together in life in late July in Portland!
