this is a rescued Macaw we met at a nature center in a historic house, located in the next city north of us. My mom, Photo Journal and I went there today- it was one of those places we had always seen the sign for, and always meant to check out someday. (there's a link to it on Photo Journal's blip today)
it's also right across the street from their public beach, and the weather was gorgeous, so we stopped there too, nice time.
We turn our clocks back tonight- not looking forward to the sun going down an hour earlier! but at least we won't be getting up for work in the morning when it's still dark out- at least for a while.
