Sunday 10 June 2012: Security Blanket

Another night with Bob the starfish sleeping in my bed, she appeared around 2am talking and asking questions, I simply lifted the covers and she climbed in beside me. For such a small person she takes up so much room and follows you round the bed when you try to escape from her. The best part of it is when she woke up she asked me how she ended up in my bed again. Hopefully tonight I'll get the bed to myself as you really don't get a decent sleep with Bob throwing her arms and legs over you or resting her hand on your head/ face.

This afternoon a close friend came through to get pictures of her kids taken. Although Bob was tired she found her second wind when they arrived and her full showman attitude was on display. The teenager attitude made an appearance a few times but promptly vanished when challenged.

The photo shoot went really well and got a lot of nice shots from it. The big brother went first, ages with Bob, and I could tell he wasn't too happy standing in front of the camera. However, the minute I cracked out the toy guns, tactical vest and holsters it was a different story. The younger sister was full of confidence when we sat speaking but the minute the camera was on her she instantly became shy. After a few test shots the wee one's confidence appeared and she was off.

Another fantastic days full of family, friends and kids - how all Sundays should be.
