Today is a new day...

Stockholm

We were up early today and on our way. The roads in Sweden are better for travelling in that you can go faster and they are straighter but Mr Q says that he never wants to see a conifer again in his life! Still no sign of moose.

We arrived in Stockholm early afternoon and got settled in. We caught a boat from the 'beach' 5 mins walk away from our site which took us right to the harbour at Stockholm. A lovely sail on such a sunny day.

Mr Q had worked in Stockholm many years ago, so we went to see the places he had worked, stayed and eaten in!

It is such a lovely city - we walked through the old town which was buzzing, wandered around the harbour, exclaimed at the trains whizzing past just beside the pavements, admired the Royal Palace and the Opera House, crossed the bridges and had an outstanding Swedish meal. And yes, it did include reindeer.

We found our way home by metro and a short walk and we are now looking forward to another outing tomorrow to visit the other Royal Palace (I think!).

Things to remember about today:-

Sitting on the top deck of the boat
Spotting the most enormous white butterfly with chequered wings
Feeling completely relaxed in a big city
A wonderful meal
Cyclist multitasking
