Kudu

With Dawn away down to the Lakes District I took the boys out to Edinburgh Zoo today.

As with previous visits it's not the box office draws that were the winners.

The pandas are really quite crap, asleep again and just shite black and white bears. The Malaysian Sun bears on the other hand are superstars and better looking in my opinion (and look like bears that would rip yer face off, like bears should....).

The gibbons are pure value for money, end off, chimps crap.
The wolverine put in an appearance and that is one animal you don't want to meet on a dark night, that thing looks evil.

Leaf cutter ants I could watch for ages.

Painted hunting dogs... asleep.

Pygmy hippos were cute wee hippo things.

Maned wolf, incredible animals and Callum was well pleased after seeing them on Deadly 60. The anteater put in an appearance as well, what a size that was.

The binturong is absolutely stinking ( buttered pop corn says the sign, aye that's been pissed on by a cat) but an incredibly beautiful animal, if you can stand the smell.

All in all the boys (and me) had a grand day topped with me getting Callum and I third row tickets to see the legend that is Steve Backshall.

This is a Kudu by the way, a particularly handsome antelope.
