Friday 8 June 2012: Earthy

Lunch with Carla today broke the monotony of what has felt like the longest working week in history -- all three days of it. We had a great chat, appalling the poor gentleman who came to our table for a quiet bite to eat with our anecdotes of the past week.

The ceiling space in Earth in Canonmills is broken up by what must be hundreds of these retro Edison style Marconi filament bulbs. They're pretty, but the EU-wide ban on incandescent bulbs that came into effect last year means I don't know how much longer they'll be glowing. Interior designers must be in outcry across the country :)
