A day dominated by food. Actually, not quite dominated as entirely conquered.

We started off with a Street Food Tour, with the inimitable Mr Ha. Thoroughly recommended, if you happen to be in the vicinity. We munched our way through beef, chicken, a local specialty fish called cha ca, egg coffee (yes, it's coffee with an egg in it - don't even ask about weasel coffee), pork, shrimp, noodles, normal rice, black rice, fruit, tapioca, and about a ton of other nameless stuff.

After we'd waddled back for our hotel for a sit down, we then went on a rickshaw tour of the city. It was rush-hour (not that any hour isn't rush-hour), and it managed to be both relaxing and terrifying in equal measure.

We were dropped off at the water puppets theatre for the evening performance, which had the kids literally rocking with laughter. In fairness, I think there was a little more laughing at rather than laughing with, but we all enjoyed it just the same.

Dinner in the hotel followed. Which, for me, at least, was the most disappointing meal so far. Although both the boy child and Mme Tepeka ordered well, so they were happy.

We leave Hanoi tomorrow morning for Halong Bay, and the end (for the moment) of reliable wifi. So tomorrow may be the first time since I joined blip that I'll have failed to post a picture on the actual day. Oh well. That's what back-blipping is for, I guess...
