How rude!

He's poking out his tongue.

This one is for my Mum. She was excited when I took photos last year that showed the tui's tongue, so I know she'll be keen to see this waxeye's tongue too. Although there's a good chance you'll need to view it in large to really see it.

For those of you who are not in New Zealand, these birds are very small - which shows that these crabapples are even smaller - about the size of cherries. Saturday's blip gives a good idea of the size of the birds against 'normal' apples.
