A Day Worth Recording

Today plumbers and carpenter were joined by specialist glaziers.

We're getting the stained glass panels restored, so the first job was to remove them from the window frame.  They're in substantially poorer condition to what they look like here - several of the 'clear' diamonds are actually holes.  They only functioned as windows because of the perspex someone added over them.

There were three in all.  Two we knew about, in the library windows.  The other was unexpectedly found behind a discarded door in the basement.  I'm guessing there were originally four (that would fit the pattern of the windows) but as No.3 needed stretchering up from the basement, No.4 is probably long gone.
