A view from Jeanneb

By Jeanneb53

Ready for off.

A bright and breezy morning on Skye as we left our hotel and here is the view that kept disappearing!

The Macleod Tables across Loch Dunvegan in the southern part of Duirinish.

We travelled down the eastern side of the island and across the bridge. Chris has asked twice over the last couple of days what time ferry we were getting and even the Sat Nav wanted us to go to Armadale to get the ferry to Malaig! maybe next time. Can't help think Skye has lost a little of its magic since getting the bridge but it is certainly thriving in terms of tourists.

We prefer coming earlier in the year when it's quieter but had we done that this year we wouldn't have got the weather as the spring has apparently been terrible. In fact most indicated that the good weather had just arrived. Also boat trips etc tend only to run in the later summer months so you can't have everything.

Thank you for all your comments, stars and favourites. I have had at least 6 or 7 on the popular pages with one still there on page 5. Not surprised really with such scenery.

We are home now. 10 hours in the car with the usual stops. Sorry if you haven't had a comment today will try to catch up later.

All is well except my lovely Alexanda Rose seems to have expired. We've probably had it 30 years. I had commented to Chris before we left that this time last year it was flowering and I have blipped it many times. It was the highlight of our front garden, so I am a little sad.
