Wide Angle Wednesday: Close

I am especially pleased that JDO is pitching the theme of "Close" this week. No ... wide angle lenses are not inherently good at macro except that their depth of field characteristics tend to help with close focusing situations and are often employed by compact cameras for that purpose. Unfortunately you tend to have to be right on top of a potential macro subject with a wide angle macro. You often block off the light and disturb living subjects. Thing is that wide angle lenses are great at depth perception enhancement. When they are physically CLOSE to something they tend to exaggerate the distance between the close object and objects that are rather more distant which can be quite appealing and 3D like.

Anyway this is my entry for the Wide Angle Wednesday: Close challenge (widwed19). Great thinking, JDO. This is a theme potentially right up the alley of a wide angle lens.
