LRL 102 J

Today the Ayrshire Commercial Vintage Vehicle Club had their annual run from Ayr to Portpatrick.  With a return run to Ayr on Sunday.  Quite a sight to see all these old, and some not so old trucks driving through the village.

In total I counted approximately 125 vehicles in the convoy ranging from small flatbed trucks to large articulated lorries.  Most of the drivers were very friendly and gave a wave as they passed.

This particular truck is a 1970 AEC Militant Mk III.  This truck came in a number of different versions but this particular one is a 10T recovery truck used for towing and maintenance on large armoured vehicles.
