Tourist crowds and the Golden Circle

We spent many hours in the morning with driving around and searching for a more or less clean shower after two days without. The search drove us into the "Golden Circle", that magical spider web in Iceland that catches all the tourists.
We saw the Geysir and the Gulfoss, both great, but afterwards we were keen to flee from too many humans!
Then we found it in the Lonely Planet: A town that is truly a working harbour town without tourists, having a camp ground with shiny facilities including showers! Woohoo! I feel so incredible clean again!
Hoping for a day off from human crowds but not wild bird crowds tomorrow before heading towards Reykjavik then.
