Auks Galore

... at South Stacks, Isle of Anglesey. These are guillemots - and my first Extra pic is of razorbills. Both are members of the Auk family (as is the puffin). I did see one puffin through a loaned pair of binoculars, but no photo. One day ...!

While we were at South Stacks we also visited the lighthouse. The 400-odd steps going down were easy-going. Coming back was a little harder! A steep climb!

After that, we drove to Menai Bridge and walked across Telford's impressive suspension bridge - in both directions - with a coffee break in between. (See Extras!)

In the evening we paid a quick visit to the nearby copper mine and enjoyed the rich orange and yellow colours of the area. Finally, we visited a schoolfriend of Mr PP's and her husband, who live on Anglesey.. Altogether a very enjoyable evening!
