After the visit to my cardiologist, I'm no longer on nasty alpha/beta blockers, but on a more standard calcium channel blocker. All of them reduce my blood pressure and all of them have side-effects - some of which are not so nice - but these should have fewer side effects. They come with a rather long list of instructions...
