The rain fell like pearls

And the rain fell like pearls
On the leaves of the flowers
Leaving brown, muddy clay
Where the earth had been dry

From The Grave, Don Maclean

I love this beautiful and powerful anti-war song. Seeing the raindrops on the Alchemilla today made me think of it.

Alchemilla Mollis is basically a weed, but it is allowed to stay in the garden because it is so beautiful when it catches the rain drops.
