Pied Butcherbird

Today, with the sun shining, the breeze in the trees and the temp under 15 degrees the birds were singing marvelously. This pied butcherbird came close to the house and sat on a steel pole, which one time had a shade sail attached. The song of the butcherbird is likened to a flute, a clear melodious sound which is quite piercing. I love it.
