Tuesday 12 June 2012: Concentration...

837/365: ... Felix is just on the verge of starting to write and this shot was taken this morning, when he was head down and trying his hardest to write something about Lego. He got increasingly frustrated about it all and his pout definitely came out. He was complaining that he couldn't do it without a picture. And then that Maddy had taken something or other that would help him. Anyway, it was a bit tortuous to watch all in all! I know that in a really short time they'll learn it at school and it'll unleash his inner sentence scribbler / book scoffer. Until then. Frustration.

My day was much less complicated than normal. I had a couple of presentations to write and they're just about done. I also squeezed in writing a few other bits and bobs and organising some stuff... so... generally pretty darned productive. Yay!

What wasn't yay... well... for Maddy at least... is the fact that she's now got some 'Stop 'n' Grow' stuff on her finger nails. It's not to stop her biting them. It's to get her to stop sucking her finger. She's just come downstairs complaining that it tastes like washing up liquid. And has tried to wash it off. But without a great deal of success. Not really sure what else to try though. Reason hasn't worked. There's no bribe on the planet will work with Maddy Moo. The dentist has talked to her. The orthodontist has talked to her. But she keeps on sucking her finger!

One day, she'll go to suck it and there will be nothing left!

PS The promised torrential rain hasn't arrived yet...
PPS ... I may just have tempted fate by saying that!!
