Alien encounter

Bonnybridge has acquired a reputation as the UK's UFO Capital.

It's a reputation that some inhabitants find embarrassing, while others are happy to play along on the basis that it puts the town on the map. In addition there are those who treat the matter quite seriously, claiming that the number of UFO sightings indicate that Bonnybridge must have something that attracts the alien visitor.

I was out for a walk along the Forth & Clyde Canal on Monday evening and spotted this stencil drawing (or painting) on the bridge between Allandale and Haggs, just over two miles west of Bonnybridge. Someone definitely has a sense of humour!
