ZQ's 'graduation'

Today was ZQ's last day at primary school! A little emotional for both of us!! I remember taking him to look at potential primary schools at the tender age of 3 (seems so ridiculous!!!) We both loved this school when we walked in, and I instantly knew it was right for him! I carried him in every day for his first term, and he cried every day when I left him! but he was happy minutes after I left!! We almost removed him from the school when numbers were critically low (39) but were persuaded to stick with it. I'm so glad we did! All the comments in his leavers book, and from pupils, staff and parents alike, confirm that he has grown into a lovely, popular, kind, considerate, confident boy!! Whatever he achieves from here on will be built upon solid foundations! What more could a parent ask for.....?!

He had his leavers service at Church today, followed by a lovely family picnic. All the (9) year 6's received a gift from the school (a signed reading book), their teacher, Mr Duffy, and the year 5's (with whom they have spent the last year!). The year 5's gift was a 'memory box' complete with a book that every child and teacher in the school has written a personal message in. So lovely....
