Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Faces of Fiona #63

Walking with the jaguar at the zoo!!~ Well, you can see this female jaguar's face, anyway. Back and forth they went, she trying to keep step with that beautiful cat. (Usually the jaguars are sleeping or out of sight, so this was a treat!) We went to the zoo looking for the red panda so we could take a picture for Niklas for his school report, but it was sleeping way up in a tree. However we found ourselves in a wonderful part of the zoo that I don't think I've ever been in. (How is this possible?) A lot of endangered species of birds and ducks in wetlands. Other than that, which Fi liked, she spent a LOT of time in the African village climbing in and out of the little huts. And our 1 day "heat wave" ended - today was much cooler with Seattle sunshine (fine wet mist.) She was happy as a clam, singing many songs today which we could actually recognize...! She had to come get me for the nap tho. (Not too much of a hardship...:-) )
Not sure if a 3 hour Tai chi workshop tonight was the most relaxing thing after the day with Fiona, but I wanted to experience one of the Chen family masters from China.
Now it's time for bed --with a busy day tomorrow......
