Now this may not look very derelict to you, but the sharper eyed electrical bodds may notice the discolouration  of the brass on the live terminals.  Not a bad wiring connection, but the switch mechanism had seen better days and was cooking the switch.  I know its in the kitchen (dishwasher extension switch) but that sort of cooking is not appreciated!!
