Scottish summer

A lovely wee trip to North Berwick. We went because we wanted to see the little exhibition of Jon Schueler's works that is on at the Greens and Blues gallery. We last saw his works exhibited (as opposed to the odd one in gallery collections) at the City Art Centre in Edinburgh in 2003, and he created a lasting impression on us. It was one of the reasons why we were keen to go to Mallaig, although it took us almost ten years to get there. And I see he is back at the City Art Centre as part of a group exhibition now. We must pop along. Anyway, it was amazing to sit in a little gallery - all quiet and controlled light and no one running around - and imbibe the peace of the 17 pictures which are being exhibited. A fabulous experience.

Afterwards, we wandered down to the harbour and I had the eponymous lunch from the Lobster Shack (see extra). That wasn't to Mr A's taste, so we stopped off at the Gosford Bothy farm shop for him to have a Wild Boar Burger.

Home to carry on working down the to do list.
