Scottish National Sheep dog trial

This year the Scottish National Sheep dog trials are taking place at Conon Brae Farm, Torgorm, Conon Bridge  which is near Dingwall. So on the way back from the Puffin Pool we stopped at the road side and watched for a while as the shepherd and his dogs moved the sheep around the course.
Today the sheep are mostly North country Cheviots apparently more settled than a mixed bunch that were used yesterday.
The top 150 sheep dogs in Scotland compete and the 15 with the highest score over the three days then go on to compete as part of the Scottish team in the Annual Trials which usually take place in September. A great setting , what a wonderful backdrop. The weather could have been better as several competitors had to resign because of the dogs could nt hear the whistles.
It was a lovely day so when I got home David and myself decided to give the ' Hobby House' a Spring clean so we got everything out to change things around. Good job we did as we found a mouse had made itself at home, eating through my sewing bag to my knitting and part of my RELAX cushion. It had made a nice nest in a bowl with lots of soft cotton. It had been abandoned though so now in the bin.
Just as I was in the swing of things the heavens opened so I had to quickly get everything back in side. The afternoon remained the same from raining one minute to bright hot sunshine the next. The hobby house is now clean and back in order :)

Thank you all again for the comments, stars and hearts this week :)))
Have a great weekend !
