LIGHT ON LILY...limited season

Our pond has a mass of vivid green shoots which for most of the time, are lush and vivid, but otherwise unremarkable.
And then, suddenly without much prior notice, they reveal a burst of dazzling yellow iris blooms. Just as I think to myself that I'll sit back and enjoy the show, it's over.
Very much a limited run only.
But thoroughly worth the wait.
