A Day At A Time.

Artesana

More by luck than judgment, and a considerable dose of Jacqui's deductive reasoning ("follow, him - he's carrying a plastic bag"), we found the artisan market at Quarteira.

Actually, some of it was artisan, like this German lady who makes beautiful and delicate wooden boxes (we bought a couple for presents), but a lot of it was like the Fake Souks of the Middle East. Chanel, Michael Kors and Prada bags were everywhere.

And some Ralph Loren polo shirts, which I took a fancy to.

The temperature reached 39.5 degrees here, but was a much cooler 29 when we returned to the coast and our spot by the pool for some well-earned snoozing in the sun.

We had dinner in tonight, with Pimms, boquerones and salmon from the grill.
