Thursday 14 June 2012: Wood fires
Another evening walk around the block. This is looking west across the township. As you can see, we mostly heat by wood and coal fires here. A pollution issue but our power goes out just too often to rely on electricity.
It's lovely seeing the flames in the fireplace but some days, when I'm dealing with carting wood and the mess it makes, or when I step outside and get a mouthful of coal smoke, I'd do anything for a heat pump.
