Top of the Mountain

Last year we tried and failed to go up the funicular to the top of the Cairngorm mountain as their was grey cloud covering the top.  Success today though!  We slowly inched our way up with the magnificent views getting better the higher we climbed.  It was blinking cold though up at the top with still snow clinging on to the gulleys.  Didn't venture out much apart from a quick walk round the viewing platform .  Much preferred sitting indoors in the cafe with hot chocolate and coffees sitting on the sofas looking out through the big windows to the view in front of us.  Spectacular - what a beautiful country we live in!

Back down to the warmth and it was decided to visit the Adventure course in the trees at the Rochiemurchas Estate, kinda like Go Ape but a bit smaller I think.  Cameron has done the Go Ape so he was confident he would manage this.  He really enjoyed it, and Ben and I sat below and watched him and his Papa enjoy the thrills with the long zip slide to finish off.

Time for ice cream after that then a chill out time before heading down for tea.  Both boys decided they would go to the Fun House for the kids club at 7 for a coup,e of hours so we had time to relax till we picked them up later.  All this fresh air means exhausted by early evening so it was an early night.  Although Ben and Vameron are never tired, typical kids, but are sleeping not long after lights out!!
