Happy Yorkshire Day - Let's Dance!

Yes, for you unbelievers out there, I know there are a few of you, but Yorkshire Day is a thing, and today we had the joy of celebrating it with Gavin and Zoe ("born and bred in the Yorkshire by the grace of God") on their wedding day.

Zoe is the eldest of our great friends John and Penny. Our 3 kids and Zoe and her sibs are matched up age wise and have grown up together in school, and church and on Duke of Edinburgh exhibitions, and at gigs  and in our family time (so many family times made memorable by mine and Johns vagueness and unitentional risqué behaviour) and in the pub(so I'm told). So in summary Zoe is family - and that makes Gavin family too.

Zoe smiled from entering the Church til leaving - and I suspect for ever after, Gavin gazed on besottedly. I know Zoe well and Gavin well enough to know that marriage will be everything it's meant to be for them and those they live amongst.

Such a lovely service, then we had funny, warm and generous speeches and  after a brief pause for more photos, we danced, we all danced and then we danced some more, from the grandparents to the young ones - we had a party, just as it should be.
