Barley after the Rain

Today we were back to the rain and cloud that have built this summer of 2015.
Matters were not improved by me waking to find I had a cold that left me fairly without energy.
Eventually the rain stopped and Jan persuaded me some fresh air was required and we wandered down to the lake.
Passing by this field of barley I was struck by just how many droplets of water a barley ear can hold without doing more than bending a little. I was impressed!.
