The sky's on fire

We watched the sun beginning to set over the Machias River and Bay from the hilly graveyard next door.  It seemed like the sunset show would continue to be dramatic so we drove to the Rim Road Bridge to watch some more. The sky was aflame, you can see that river shot from beside the bridge in the extra photo section. The mosquitoes tried to win, but I managed to get some shots before they did.

There was quite a bit of hummingbird activity early evening as well, I have added a third extra, a stare back from a pale young male.

For the Record,
This day came in warm and sunny, just perfect. Our lovely old friends, M & J left this morning and made it safely home to Massachusetts. It was quiet here tonight without them, we had a great time sharing our treasured little spot here in Maine with them.

All hands healthy
