Thursday 14 June 2012: Cygnet

These little ones are growing fast. Mum and dad have three this year.

Spent a lot of the day sorting and organising things for the Oxfam shop we will be taking to the Magic Loungeabout festival at the end of July. There is going to be a real eclectic mix of clothes and that's what is great about a charity shop. You just never know what will be donated.

For example, a wooden box arrived and it is one of those where you just know there is going to be something old in it or it will be empty. This particular one housed a 1928 German microscope. The name and serial number were branded on it so it was easy to google and find out it's age and origin.

Anyway, that's what makes it so interesting in a charity shop and you feel that you're helping others too.
