Monday 11 June 2012: Ring of Brodgar
History Trip, Day 1
Went away on a history trip with school today..couldn't be bothered to bring my proper camera so the next week is all taken with my little sister's camera - apologies in advance.
We went in three mini buses, leaving at 9 and drove up North, stopping by various Pictish sites on the way. The Ring of Brodgar was one of these; pretty much just a circle of really big stones in Orkney that was created in around about 2500BC
Caught the ferry from SCrabster to Stomness, then stayed in a youth hostel in Kirkwall which was fun apart from the fact there was no plugs in the rooms.
