Sunny stripes

The recent sudden death of an ex-work-colleague got me back in touch with another one (colleague, I mean), and I met him for lunch today. Afterwards I hung around the Baggot Street area until Carl made his way in to town. We had a mini pub crawl before ending up in Bang café for a really lovely early bird meal.

One of our pit stops was in Foleys pub on the corner of Merrion Street and Merrion Row. It's changed hands lately and has got a pretty weird makeover — all bright colours and funny furniture. This gentleman was sitting near us beside the window. It was a pleasant sunny day, and the sunlight coming through the blinds was doing nice things to his purple jumper. (It's a shot from my iPhone, which isn't as good quality as I was expecting.)
