Silvereye

Scientific Name: Zosterops lateralis

Maori Name: Tauhou

While the sun shone, a large amount of bustle was happening at the bird table this morning. Blackbirds and sparrows waited on the outskirts as a flock of silvereyes squabbled and flapped their tiny wings over the array of
apple and bread. It was the bread that was most popular this morning.

I got many shots, and they are getting better - it was this little one sitting on the sideline waiting patiently in the sunlight that looked as cute as ever to me, while disappearing in the background is one about to leave the bird table with a huge piece of bread, almost as big as the bird itself.

Daughter E has been busy in the kitchen today making chocolate eclairs. Its taken a while as shes trying out different recipes and some are just not making the cut, theres none of this 'she'll be right' attitude with Daughter E.

Lovely to hear from Daughter A today who has secured some work experience during some of her holidays in line with her degree. Theres nothing quite like being on the spot and being in the environment where she plans to be a little further down the track.

Running a little late tonight, still have tea to cook before Hubby comes home from work - hope your all having a great weekend :)

PS Many thanks for your wishes my eye is feeling much better today, heres hoping it will be back to normal tomorrow :))
