Saturday 16 June 2012: The Bothy
A day spent in a music recording studio with a few friends. We recorded a song that we have written ourselves. It's the 14th song we've recorded in the last 2 years and the first 10 made up a CD which we released last year. The band is called Cats in the Kitchen. The album is called Red Wine and Chocolate. Look us up on iTunes, Amazon and YouTube.
The recording studio is called The Bothy, at Debenham in Suffolk. The very nice David Booth is the owner, producer, sound engineer, and an amazing musician himself. Every day in the studio is a fun event with plenty of tea and biscuits. Today's picture shows a part of the studio.
It's amazing how a simple acoustic composition at the start of the day turns into a multi-track piece of musical wizardry. Sometimes we don't even recognise our own songs. I can understand how George Martin made such a difference to The Beatles.
