Bronze age grave, used 2000BC

Another day of failing to get any further with the accounts - Alan, who's very kindly doing the electrics in MrM's workshop, required the electricity to be turned off several times! Never mind...

MrM and I had two interesting walks in the evening. On the first, through Hepburn Woods with Louie, we came across this bronze age grave - a cist and capstone. It's rather more overgrown than shown here. We also noticed a spring bubbling out of the ground (see Extra) near the car park - neither of us remember seeing it on previous visits there.

The second walk took us from the church at Old Bewick (where there are some unusual and interesting stones in the graveyard) part way around Bewick Moor - we were hoping to find the Iron Age hill fort and the rock art. We didn't find either - a good excuse to go back again. It's a very pleasant walk.
