Nesting Coot

Out for a walk this morning with the lovely Mrs Nicktor and lovely SonNumber1, and we came across this Coot sitting in her nest on her eggs. It wouldnt have been quite so bad, but she chose to build the nest underneath a small wooden pier. I thought I could lie down and point my camera underneath the pier - but I didn't realise that Mrs Nicktor and SonNumber1 were both standing on the pier pointing their cameras at me waiting for me to fall in!!
