Saturday 16 June 2012: The Great British Summer
Two pairs of socks? Check.
Welly boots? Check.
Scarf? Check.
Winter coat with hood? Check.
But wait, isn't it June I hear you asking? Yes, but this is Scotland.
It rained and rained and rained some more. Dada had to take care of something at a flat so thankfully he brought little A who was bouncing off the walls by 11:00am, and stayed out until we met up just after 4pm. Once or twice I contemplated taking a walk with M, just to get a bit of fresh air (I really don't like staying in all day) but each time I looked out the window is was raining horizontally. We decided to meet up with Dada and A and have dinner at Pizza Express. It was door-to-door on the bus for us, and an excuse to get out!
I'd had M in the Baby Bjorn and not only was he quite pleased to get outside, he loved my umbrella. Funnily enough, I think it was the first time he'd ever seen one (it's often too windy to bother with using one here).
We had both boys in high chairs together for the first time which was fun. Dinner was a bit chaotic, but such is life with two children under three. We got very lucky and were able to walk home (just what I needed), and just after we arrived it started to pour again.
Backblip from yesterday.
