Mini Beetles

Baunatal is a town where Volkswagen has a factory. All around the town are small cars, nixely painted, to celebrate the factory. The roundabout near where we were staying had these rather cute Beetles  in its centre. The journey up through Germany was easy, but as soon as we reached Holland the motorways were virtually at a standstill. We began to think we’d have trouble reaching Ijmuiden comfortably, but it gradually got quicker. We had hardly got to the port before we were loaded and had a smooth, sunny sail up the North Sea.
