Friday 15 June 2012: New pond with planting
This is the new pond we've been working on for a couple of weeks. The pond plants are in and beginning to settle down. The bog garden has a few plants in it and the seeds are coming up in the wildflower area.
I planted the gravelled edges of the pond with some marjoram and thyme. I'm hoping they will fill the area up and provide some flowers for the bees. Haven't seen the newts again - not sure if they are still in the pond or wandering round the garden.
