Fresh bread

We're just home from a delightful day out in East West Lothian with friends who live up above Mid Calder. A few paintings viewed this morning. A long leisurely lunch with eight of us around the table. Eventually a fire in the wood burner to keep us warm in this wonderful summer. Great food, a very moderate amount of drink for the drivers and fresh bread straight out of the aga, eaten with butter and rhubarb and ginger conserve.

And yes, the map is intentional. They really do live somewhere in the middle of nowhere!
