Sunday 17 June 2012: Fingers and toes...
842/365: ... Felix braving touching Arthur's toes!
It took a fair bit before he would touch them. And he was semi-tricked into holding him! In the end, I sat by Maddy - who was holding Arthur - and Felix sat by me. Then, I got up, scooted him along a bit... and after a few tentative touches and Maddy getting a dead arm from holding Arthur - a swap happened. And Felix finally got round to holding Arthur. It was all very cute!
As you can guess, we were at my brother and sister-in-law's yesterday for extended cuddles. I bought picnic food in a quick whizz round the shops, battling Maddy's slowness to get ready and the general chaos that is grocery shopping. Then a couple of hours down the A1 and cuddles and catching up was ours. Am impressed at how tidy their house is even with a newborn. Ours is as if a bomb's hit it 99% of the time (the 1% is when my mother visits and since that happens a maximum of 1 or 2 times per year, possibly the 1% is over generous!!).
We also managed to get out for a little walk - Arthur snoozed his way through it - and Felix got to play guitar with his uncle... which impressed him hugely!
After that, a schlep back up the A1 and home to a gargantuan migraine which meant I was in bed the minute I got in (or as close to that as I could manage!). In fact, the migraine was so bad that I didn't sleep terribly well and was throwing up in the night. Horrible flippin' thing and not a nice end to what was a really ace day.
PS This was a backblip
PPS ... and the write-up came even later. Am very slack!
