@tracey_thorn talks about singing @edbookfest

Singer-songwriter Tracey Thorn appeared at the Edinburgh International Book Festival tongiht, talking eloquently about singing, stage fright and her new tome, Naked at the Royal Albert Hall. So many years of performing - often as part of Everything But The Girl, with Ben Watt - meant she was more comfortable speaking into a handheld microphone.

Despite what it looks like in this rather grainy blip [sneakily captured during the audience Q&A], she didn't sing - much as the audience would have loved it. But you have to respect someone who takes so openly about the crippling effects stage fright can have, as Ms Thorn does in her book. It's great read, by the way, just as was her memoir, Bedsit Disco Queen.
