Sandcastles and Busking

We spent a very happy afternoon mingling with the crowd watching the Portobello Sandcastle Competition to the strains of  a wide variety of music all along the promenade. 

In this view, from the cafe at the swimming pool, the competitors of all ages are just getting started, with frantic digging and buckets of seawater.
