Crinan!

A sound sleep and no sooner were we up and about, waiting for the sea lock to open, when a 50 ' wooden ketch, the Lizzie May, with six on board arrived. Just what we needed to help us through the locks. We put our mugs of tea aside and tagged along. The day got better and better and now we're sitting at Crinan after a pint, in the sunshine with the isles and mountains  across the bay. What a wonderful place. And Donald came aboard for the last few miles and locks. A native gaelic speaker, Jimmie and him were able to converse a bit. I learned what a balloch is. I could be one!
