and she shall have music where ever she goes

It’s about the size of a chocolate Swiss roll - maybe a bit smaller.  And square in cross-section rather than round.  Now I think about it, the gently curving top puts me in mind of an iced fruit cake.  A silver one.

Anyway - it’s small, that’s the point.  But don’t be fooled by the size - it weighs as much as a house-brick.

Whenever Anniemay does the ironing, she first of all goes into her study, calls up her iTunes library and plays any album by Pink.  Pink appears to be the default ironing music.

In order to hear her ironing music in the kitchen (where said ironing is taking place) she turns the volume on her computer (in her study) to full.  Shelves begin to vibrate and if General Noriega were hiding in any of her cupboards or filing cabinets, he would have come out and surrendered by now.

The silver cake-thing is a bluetooth loudspeaker, which now resides in the kitchen.  It appears not to mind Pink or The Archers omnibus.  The rooms where the sources of any music (or radio programmes) are located - desk-top computer, laptop, iPad etc are now blissfully quiet.  Unless she picks it up (which, having a lithium battery on constant charge, she can easily do) and brings it into the room where I happen to be.  The range for bluetooth connectivity is 9m so I’m safe from ironing music at the bottom of the garden.
