The last day of winter

and did it bucket down!!
We have just driven for 3 hours in pouring rain from "the other house" back to Perth. This morning we were wakened by the raucous screeching of these Black Cockatoos.  They make one hell of a noise when a flock descends on the marri trees.  They demolish the gumnuts and woe betide anyone standing underneath as they are dropped from a great height!
I took this from the shelter of the deck - you can see the rain.
